Brenton L. Horner
received his J.D. from the Southwestern University School of Law in 1979. His undergraduate degree is from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he received his B.A. degree in History and Economics. Mr. Horner is admitted to practice before all California courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Central, and Northern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Horner is a current or former member of the Sonoma, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. He is also a current member of the American Bar Association, the Association of American Trial Lawyers, the Consumer Trial Lawyers, Consumer Attorneys Of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Commercial Law League of America. Mr. Horner is also either a current or former member of the Board of Directors of Camerata Pacifica Chamber Music, the Board of Trustees of Marymount Academy of Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Children’s Chorus and the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is also a Tennessee Squire. Focusing his practice primarily on complex litigation, Mr. Horner has developed expertise in a broad range of First Amendment issues, particularly in the area of commercial speech, and has been a frequent speaker at national and international conventions on the subject. He is also First Amendment counsel for a national organization of advertisers. He is experienced in a wide range of business disputes, mass tort, domestic and commercial insurance, as well as personal injury litigation. Mr. Horner has successfully represented clients before the California Court of Appeals, where he has argued on numerous occasions. Mr. Horner has extensive experience in residential care, nursing home, elder abuse and dependent adult litigation.
Lisa A. Gallo
attended Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science in 1991. She graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 1995. In 1996, Ms. Gallo received her Masters of Law Degree in Complex Civil Litigation, cum laude, from New York University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Gallo served as Articles Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and was a member of the National Appellate Advocacy Team, the National Trial Team and the Moot Court Board. Ms. Gallo received awards for excellence in Research and Writing as well as Scholarly Writing I and II. Ms. Gallo is admitted to the Bars in California, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California; the United States District Court of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She is a current or former member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, and a volunteer with the Domestic Violence Clinic of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Domestic Violence Project/Sojourn Legal Clinic. Prior to joining Horner & Associates, Ms. Gallo was an attorney with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York, New York and Hamrick & Evans, LLP in Universal City, California. Ms. Gallo practices in the areas of civil, business and insurance litigation. She has successfully represented clients before the California Court of Appeal.
